This is a built in fireplace screen with double doors. I designed and built this for a customer in Paradise Valley AZ. The frame and doors are all made of heavy 1/2" thick flat bar of varying widths. The vine design is hammered out of 3/8" round bar and the leaves are hammered out of heavy gauge copper (32oz). The vine and leaves on the bottom of the doors are hot forged into the plates with a chisel and hammer. The finish is a blackened patina with a hand rubbed hot wax, the copper leaves are antiqued and waxed also.
